Home hairdressing has gone from luxury to practical routine for families, older people and anyone with a tight schedule. No travel, no waiting room, no need to arrange childcare.

Here are the prices, what is included, and how to get your home ready in ten minutes.

2026 prices

A mobile hairdresser normally costs slightly more than a salon, since travel and equipment are included. The difference is usually 100 to 250 SEK per treatment.

• Children's cut: 300 to 500 SEK
• Men's cut: 400 to 650 SEK
• Women's cut including wash and blow dry: 650 to 1,100 SEK
• Colour or highlights: 1,200 to 2,500 SEK depending on hair length
• Several people in the same household: usually a discount from the second person

Who benefits most

Families where three haircuts otherwise consume half a Saturday, older people with limited mobility, and anyone working from home who wants a cut between two meetings.

Preparing your home

Set out a chair without armrests in the kitchen or bathroom, ideally near a socket and with good light. Daylight from a window gives the most accurate colour judgement.

If you have a handheld shower, washing is easiest there. The hairdresser brings the cape, tools and usually floor protection, but ask whether you should lay out towels.

Booking the right hairdresser

Read reviews from other customers in your city and look at photos of previous work. In your request, state your hair length, whether it is already coloured, and the result you want, ideally with a reference photo.
