Booking a home service in the app: from request to invoice

Step by step through the whole HemmaPro flow: writing the request, receiving quotes, booking a time, following the job and paying with ROT or RUT deductions.

Booking a home service in the app: from request to invoice

The most common cause of poor quotes is a vague request. The more precise your description, the tighter and more comparable the bids. Here is the full flow, from empty form to paid invoice.

1. Write a request that produces good quotes

  • Describe what needs doing, not just which trade you want.
  • State property type, approximate area and build year where relevant.
  • Add two to four photos, ideally one overview and one close-up.
  • Say when you want the work done and whether you are flexible.

2. Receive and compare quotes

Quotes arrive in the app with price, rating and number of completed jobs. Ask follow-up questions in chat before deciding, especially if anything about the price is unclear.

3. Book and prepare for the visit

  • Confirm the date and approximate time in the app.
  • Clear the work area and make sure parking is possible.
  • Confirm whether the company brings materials or you buy them.

4. Pay and use the deduction

The deduction applies to labour, never materials. The company normally applies it directly on the invoice so you pay the net amount.

DeductionApplies toShare of labour cost
ROTRenovation and maintenance in your own home30%
RUTCleaning, moving, gardening, assembly50%
ROT and RUT in brief, 2026

5. Leave a review

The review after a finished job is what lets the next household choose well. Write briefly what was done, whether the schedule held and whether the final price matched the quote.

Frequently asked questions

How fast can I get help?
For urgent jobs such as leaks, companies often reply within an hour. Planned jobs are usually booked within one to two weeks.
Can I cancel?
Yes, but tell them as early as possible in the app. Some companies charge for late cancellations.
Who is responsible for the invoice?
The contract is between you and the company. The invoice comes from the professional, with any ROT or RUT deduction already applied.
